Walked into a bar and met Chance,

Tastes of memory–electrical energy,

Walked together in the dark night.

Beyond the pines and clouds

A haloed moon smiles

My dog circles her poop-zone.

Crickets and stars

Company on our bedtime walk.

Slow steps in the dark
I shut my eyes, listen to the crickets
And return to bed
A silent cascade into the covers.

The rabbit beats his drum for me-
He and only he.
