Chance, as a coin tossed,

Ever a pair of outcomes

One hoped for, one dreaded

And when alone

Only temporary,

For it’s just a matter of time

Before it finds a hand to rest in.

I think I’m gonna be sad

I think it’s going away-

Although I’d rather be glad

I know it’ll be okay.

On the ground in a darkened room

Sighs sent into the phone

Like a teen, but without Radiohead.

All day I have pins and needles waiting

Fuzzy lions meeting flying dragons

Together a big heart and a goodnight kiss.

I realize Little Bunny isn’t blue

She’s filled with fresh vibrancy.

Seeing anew, I change, too

Rousing the dragon within me.
