Subconscious storytelling
Only the surface shows
Tumultuous river.

Rain covers the streets:
Flicker fireflies everywhere,
Fingerpainted pallet;
Electric heather wintergreen.

Up, and down,
Rising and setting.
On top of the hill,
Underneath the bridges;
Crisp straw and cobalt.

When sunrise on the clouds,
Looks like sunset on the waves.

Landing gear opens-
Sun peaks through clouds,
Leaves glimmer against the grey.
